The Working holiday Visa in Colombia is open to young applicants from the age 18 to 30 (included), who are nationals of countries with which Colombia has a current working holiday agreement. These countries are:
đź’ˇ This visa can only be applied for once. Once the time granted for this visa is finished, you will have to go back to your country.
This visa can be granted for up to one year, and you can stay in the country the whole year
This visa category doesn’t allow for beneficiaries.
With this visa, the foreigner can work in any Colombian company.
Since it is a visitor-type (V) visa, this won’t allow you to add time in order to apply for a residency or (R) visa.
💡 The application for this visa category must be filed before the Colombian consulate of your country. You can’t be in Colombia and request this visa before the Bogotá office.
Write a letter explaining why you’re applying for the visa, confirming you haven’t been part of the Program before, and that you’re between eighteen (18) and thirty (30) years old.
Complete the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ commitment form, available on their website.
Provide proof that you’ve booked your journey back home.
Show a clean criminal record from any country you’ve lived in for the last three years, with apostille and official translation to Spanish.
You must have a health insurance policy that provides coverage in Colombia for risks including: accident, illness, maternity, disability, hospitalization, death, and repatriation, with at least one (1) year of validity.

Show bank statements from the last three months proving you have at least five times the current legal monthly minimum wage or the amount specified by the Agreement. As of 2024, the minimum wage is $1,300,000 COP * 5= $6,500,000 COP
If someone is sponsoring your stay, provide a letter from them promising to cover your expenses and ensure your departure from Colombia, along with proof of their financial capability.
